2016 Challenger and
Charger Hellcat models do receive more standard equipment along with the price
hike, as all cars now include navigation and Laguna leather seats. The Dodge
spokesman pointed out that "both 2016 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat
models include standard navigation and standard Laguna leather seats, which are
included in the price increase because they were already a very high customer
take rate option. The added content is valued at $2,490."
The 707-hp Dodge
Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat, are a bit less affordable for the new model
year. To correspond with huge customer demand for these high-po muscle cars,
Dodge is raising prices for 2016, with the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
going up $4,200 to $65,190 and the 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
rising $3,650 to $68,190, both including a destination fee of $995 and
gas-guzzler tax of $1,700, a Dodge spokesman told. That's
a $4,200 increase over the previous year's model for the Challenger and a
$3,650 increase for the Charger.
Dodge dealers
are taking orders now for the 2016 Hellcat models, with production scheduled to
begin in September. Even with prices increases, demand for these 2016 Hellcat
models is sure to be high among performance-minded buyers.
